Dina Artzt ’82 (Psychology) is a Senior Vice President-Investments at Wells Fargo Advisors in Palo Alto, California. Dina began her career during one of the equity market’s most tumultuous periods on record-she didn’t know if she could stick it out but she’s glad she did. Over the past 25 years she has successfully helped her clients manage their investments throughout good times and bad and attributes much her success to the fact that she enjoys helping others. Dina joined UBS (formerly Kidder Peabody, then PaineWebber) in 1986 soon after completing a Master’s Degree in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University (TC). One of Dina’s major life goals was to move to California which she did as soon as she began her career as a financial advisor and now resides in the Bay Area. Dina was recently recognized as one of the Top Wealth Advisors in the Bay Area as published in The San Francisco Business Times (NAPCAP Winner’s Circle) for both 2012 and 2011. Dina was also recognized as being one of the best in her industry by Worth Magazine in 2008 (one of the worst years in market history).
Dina is very loyal to the Purchase Community and makes sure to give back each and every year as she feels lucky to have received scholarships and financial aid while at Purchase since at the time she had very little. On a personal note, Dina is married and a mom to two teenagers. Dina has always been active in the school district and in her community. She volunteers at her temple to help the homeless and is a big supporter of the local foodbank, Second Harvest. Philanthropy is an important value to her. Also important is the time she spends with her family who are avid hockey fans. During hockey season, you are likely to find them together rooting for The San Jose Sharks.
