Culture and Society in the West II (FRS1001.90)

This is an investigation of important themes of Western history and culture from 1500 to the 20th century. Topics include:  a consideration of significant social processes and transformation; a study of the foundations of modern political and cultural life; and an examination of texts, and art objects from a range of historical periods. Spain will be a central focus of this course.   (4 credits)
