Spanish | History | Political Science | Western Civilization| Psychology

Living in Spain will provide a unique vantage point from which students will explore how culture influences people's thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Students will take full advantage of this opportunity to examine a foreign culture up close while considering our own culture from a distance. To learn as much as possible about Spanish culture and how it is similar to and different from American and other cultures, students will conduct group research projects on topics of interest to them. Topics discussed in class will include the relationships between culture and health behaviors, life satisfaction, mental illness, family interactions, child development, and social behavior.
