The Senior Project

About the Senior Project
The senior project is a College-wide requirement for both the B.A. and B.S. degree. Students devote two semesters to an in-depth, original, and creative study. The full 8 credits are awarded only upon successful completion of the entire project. Each program has guidelines for the senior project, which range from in-depth research culminating in a baccalaureate thesis to text combined with a visual or performance component.

A professor within the board of study in which the student has majored must sponsor the project. After the student has chosen a faculty sponsor, he or she should consult that sponsor about the choice of a second reader. Students may not receive more than 8 credits for their senior project.

In order to register for the senior project, students must have:

  1. completed both their methodology course and theory course
  2. obtained approval and an Instructor Access Code from their faculty sponsor.
