The Psychology BA Program: Student Learning Outcomes

(2002–03)

Psychology majors, upon successful completion of the program, can:

  • Describe the paradigms and main facts about major content areas in psychology (e.g., social, cognitive, physiological, developmental);
  • Approach psychological questions from a scientific perspective;
  • Think critically about competing explanations or theories of behavior and mental processes;
  • Write and speak in the style of the discipline to communicate information and ideas about psychology.
