Purchase College Psychology Facilities

Students in the psychology program take advantage of facilities such as the following:

Computer Laboratory

The first-floor computer laboratory in the Natural Sciences Building serves as a classroom for the Behavioral Statistics and Experimental Psychology courses. All computers are equipped with software including the SPSS statistics package. Students use the computer lab at other times when working on coursework and research.

Purchase College Children's Center

The Children's Center is a laboratory school serving the preschool-age children of Purchase faculty, staff, and students. Psychology students pursuing research (such as Senior Projects) with developmental faculty often collect data in the Children's Center. In addition, students can undertake an Internship in Early Child Development at the Children's Center, or take the course PSY 3850 Practicum in Child Development (listed in Courses), both of which involve 8-10 hours/week working with children at the center.
