JoAnne Wasserman

JoAnne is married and currently lives with her husband and son in Brooklyn.  She spent 26 years at the New York Daily News as a reporter, covering schools, politics, government, and family issues.  In 2004, JoAnne became the News Brooklyn Bureau Chief, where she put out a daily section and mentored dozens of young reporters.  JoAnne recently left the paper in May 2013 and is starting a new job at a website called Capital New York, where she is the senior editor.  Last Spring, JoAnne received the prestigious Peter Kihss award from the Silurian Society for her mentoring of young reporters.
