Deanna Kamiel is an Emmy Award–winning documentary filmmaker with a career in public television. She was formerly a staff producer for the current affairs unit of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Her work has been produced at PBS (Nuclear Outpost, Mickey’s Diner, Prairie, Boys with Bats) and screened at prestigious venues, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Kamiel also teaches documentary in the graduate media studies program at New School University.
