Grades 9–12

Design, draft, and model a structure or space of your choosing during studio work sessions. Learn how to manipulate space, materials, and style through exercises that focus on drawing and thinking and through demonstrations of the properties of assorted materials. Draw and use architectural tools and techniques that are presented. Learn to translate your drawings into computer models in daily basic AutoCAD workshops. Use your architectural drawings to construct a model of your unique architectural design. Display your completed project board and model in an exhibit for family and friends.

To broaden skills and exposure to the arts, the Architecture Intensive can be combined with the Video Game Creation and Animation Workshop (new!), Songwriting Workshop, Shakespeare Workshop, and/or Choral Conservatory to make for a well-rounded summer experience.

Session II: July 15–26
Monday–Friday, 9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
$1,165 for the first registration
$1,045 for the second registration in the family, Purchase College employees and alumni, and early registrations (received by May 3, 2013)
