Scholarships for Liberal Studies Degree Students

Purchase College Scholarships
Depending on funding availability, the School of Liberal Studies & Continuing Education awards scholarships each year to a selection of liberal studies students who:

  1. have completed at least 12 Purchase College credits
  2. have completed at least 60 total credits (transfer and Purchase College)
  3. have a 3.25 or higher cumulative GPA at Purchase College
  4. demonstrate financial need as indicated by their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Scholarships are not guaranteed and are subject to change each year. An additional requirement of all Purchase College students receiving scholarships is the completion of the FAFSA. The FAFSA must be filed by March 1 of each academic year to determine eligibility for these awards.

Private Scholarship Sources
Students often overlook the opportunity to receive private scholarships as a source of financial assistance. These may range from private foundations to employer matching funds. For information on researching private scholarships, call or visit the Office of Student Financial Services, (914) 251-7000.
