The PRIME (Purchase Rising in Multicultural Excellence) Retreat is for current and rising leaders in Purchase Clubs and Organizations.  The purpose of the retreat is to foster leadership development, professional relationships between clubs and organizations, and to promote diversity.

10 Things you should know about the 2010 PRIME Retreat

The PRIME retreat is an overnight retreat and includes all meals, transportation, linens, and accomodations. 
The PRIME retreat is FREE!
All student clubs and organizations are allowed to apply to attend the 2010 PRIME Retreat, however only 2 people from each club or organization are allowed.
1. Each application should be for 1 rising leader and 1 current leader from the same  club or organization.  This pairing will work as a team throughout the retreat so that knowledge can continue to be shared afterwards.
2. Each current leader will be responsible for presenting on an assigned topic/activity at the retreat.  These include teambuilding, event planning, conflict resolution, etc.  At the Spring CoCOaS retreat, the pair will work together to recreate this presentation and will present it at the CoCOaS retreat.
3. As a full group, all attendees will participate in icebreakers, team building exercises, leadership development and reflections.
4. Applications must be completed only by the current leader in the club or organization.  The student nominated as the rising leader cannot be a senior, is preferably a freshmen, and is committed to attending the retreat on the set dates.
5. All representatives from the clubs and organizations are expected to attend the entire retreat and all sessions.
6. The 2010 PRIME retreat has limited spots, so apply early for your club or organization!
7. This is an opportunity to spend some time with cool people, getaway to a beautiful country setting, and develop your leadership skills while you're at it!  What's to lose?!

Timeline of 2010 PRIME Retreat

Applications Available--September 27th at 9:00am

Applications Due--October 15th by 12:00pm

Notice of Selection--October 18th by 5:00pm

Final details and room assignments emailed to attendees--October 27th

PRIME Retreat--Vans leave the Campus Center North parking lot at 10:00am on November 6th.  Vans return to campus at 1:00pm on November 7th.
