Leigh Dillon '79 Coached Julianne Moore to Emmy Win

When Julianne Moore accepted her Emmy award last night for Best Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for her role in HBO'sGame Change, she thanked Leigh Dillon, a Purchase graduate and former faculty member.

As Moore's dialect coach, Dillon prepared the actress to portray Sarah Palin. In her speech, Moore thanked Dillon for being "so patient with me." 

Dillon '79 received her BFA in Acting from Purchase and then taught in the Acting program from 2002 to 2012; she retired this past summer to focus on her professional work. Dillon has worked as a voice and speech coach with a host of well-known performers, including Archie Panjabi, Julia Ormond, Amanda Peet, Matthew Lillard, Calista Flockhart, and Freddie Prinze Jr.
