NATURAL AND SOCIAL SCIENCES FALL LECTURE SERIES PRESENTS “THE PROBLEM OF SUICIDE TERRORISM” NOVEMBER 1

Victor Asal, an investigator for the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism,  will discuss “The Problem of Suicide Terrorism” at a Purchase College Natural and Social Sciences Fall Lecture on November 1. Dr. Asal will speak at 5 PM in Room 1001 of the Natural Sciences Building. The lecture is free and open to the public. For more information, call 914-251-6631.

Dr. Asal is an assistant professor of political science at the University at Albany, SUNY. He is also the director of the Public Security Certificate at Rockefeller College at the University of Albany. His current research examines the impact of discrimination on ethnic conflict and terrorism, as well as the impact of organizational factors on terrorist behavior including levels of lethality and chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear (CBRN) usage. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland and his M.A. from Hebrew University, Israel.
