The Purchase Symphony Orchestra performs works by Brahms, Bizet, Bourne and Wagner in a concert September 29 at 8 PM in The Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by calling the Box Office at 914-251-6200.

Symphony2 for web.jpgThe Purchase Symphony Orchestra features students from the Purchase College School of the Arts, Conservatory of Music, conducted by Jesse Levine.

The program features Fantasie on Themes from Bizet's Carmen by Francois Bourne, featuring Adam Eccleston, flute, winner of the 2006 Concerto Competition; Symphony No. 3, Op. 90 in F Major by Johannes Brahms; Suite L'Arlesienne No. 2 by Georges Bizet; and Die Meistersinger: Prelude  by Richard Wagner.

Jesse Levine is Professor of Viola and Chamber Music and Chair of the String Department at Symphony1 for web.jpgthe Yale School of Music. Mr. Levine has held the positions of Music Director and Conductor of the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra (1981-2001), Orquesta del Principado de Asturias in Spain, Chappaqua Orchestra and the Feld Ballet.
