To increase the accessibility of its top-ranked part-time MBA program to professionals living or working in Westchester and surrounding counties, New York University’s Stern School of Business is adding a site for its program at Purchase College, State University of New York. Beginning in fall 2006, MBA students enrolled in Stern’s Langone Program can choose to take the majority of their coursework in dedicated classroom space on the Purchase campus, followed by the completion of some electives at Stern’s Washington Square campus in Greenwich Village, New York City.
Purchase College is located at 735 Anderson Hill Road in Purchase, NY.
“We welcome NYU’s Stern School to the Purchase College campus,” said Purchase President Thomas J. Schwarz. “We currently offer a new Arts Management major and an ongoing business concentration within our economics major. With Stern’s presence on campus, our students will gain awareness of a graduate education track that may be of future interest as they plan their professional futures.”
NYU will renovate two existing classrooms for its part-time MBA students that will be available to Purchase College when not in use by the Langone Program. The proposed renovations will create two large (60-student), “smart” classrooms, consistent with Stern’s facilities at its Washington Square campus, equipped with the technology that faculty increasingly require to teach effectively. These learning environments will add to the inventory of “smart” classrooms already available at Purchase.
