Grammy award winning bassist Todd Coolman conducts the Purchase Jazz Orchestra at The Performing Arts Center on December 2 at 7 PM.  Tickets are $22.50. Call 914-251-6200 or www.artscenter.org.

 

The Purchase Jazz Orchestra features musicians from the Purchase College School of the Arts Conservatory of Music. 

 

The program will include:  I Hear A Rhapsody, Hope Rising, Harlem Airshaft, Warm Valley, You’d Be So Nice to Come Home To, Tones for Jones Bones, Leaving, Prism, Smoke Gets in Your Eyes.

 

Todd Coolman has performed and toured world-wide and recorded with a “who who’s” of jazz artists.  He has been associated with the James Moody Quartet for 18 years and has performed with the Carnegie Hall Jazz Band.

He is director of Jazz Studies at Purchase College and has released two CD’s as a leader “Tomorrows” and “Lexicon.”
