Professor Iris Cahn will be a featured speaker on November 7 at the "New York State Women and Film" lectures series.
Her talk on turn of the century Hudson Valley actress and director Helen Gardner will include a screening of "Cleopatra" which Gardner directed in 1912, the first feature film made in America in 35 mm. The print thas been newly restored by George Eastman House and Turner Classic Broadcasting. The talk takes place at 1 PM at the Mountain Cinema in Hunter, NY. www.catskillmtn.org. Free.
