The Purchase College extension sites at Rockland Community College and Westchester Community College—Peekskill continue to provide the bridge for community college graduates who wish to pursue their bachelor’s degree closer to home. The Purchase at Rockland program is in its fourth year. The Westchester Community College—Peekskill program began its second year this fall.
Both sites offer the interdisciplinary Liberal Studies B.A. Program and many students are able to complete their degree within two years. Students work closely with an advisor to maximize the application of their transfer credits toward their graduation requirements. Students can study on either a part- or full-time basis. All classes are held in the evening on the extension site campus with the exception of the required Senior Capstone, which must be completed at Purchase.
At the Westchester Community College—Peekskill site, students can major in Liberal Studies or, new in Spring 2008, Liberal Studies: Arts.
Advising and registration will be available at the Peekskill site on Tuesday, January 15 and Thursday, January 24 from 5-7 PM each night. Classes begin at Peekskill on Monday, January 28. To contact an advisor or find out more about the Westchester Community College–Peekskill program, call (914) 606-7310.
Students at the extension site at Rockland Community College in Suffern can choose one of three majors: Liberal Studies; Liberal Studies: Communications/Media Studies; and Liberal Studies: Legal Studies.
Advising and registration will be available at Rockland on Wednesday, January 16 and Thursday, January 24 from 5:30–7:30 PM each night. Classes begin at Rockland on Monday, January 28. To contact an advisor or find out more about the Purchase at Rockland program, call (845) 574-4744.
