Purchase Students Present Benefit Concert for Virginia Tech May 12

“Singers for Tech,” organized by Purchase College students, will bring singers and singing groups together from New York and New Jersey  to raise funds for Virginia Tech students. The benefit concert will be held on Saturday, May 12 at 6:30 PM in the Purchase College Performing Arts Center.

Performing groups include Purchase Choral Pleasure, Rutgers Shockwave, Chock Full of Notes, beatboxers, Nicholas Fox and Deepen Shah. All proceeds will go toward the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund, which provides grief counseling and assistance to Virginia Tech students and the families of the victims.

The event was produced by Purchase College students Robert Corradi and Evan Feist and is supported by the Purchase College Association, the Office of Student Affairs and the Office of Residence Life.  The benefit is being hosted by Rene Ruiz of Toxic Audio.
