Science in the Modern World Lecture Diane Gifford-Gonzalez, Anthropology Professor at the Univ. of California Santa Cruz, discusses “Before Farming and Villages: Early Pastoralists of the Sahara.” Evidence from the Sahara and from cattle DNA suggests that ancient Africans followed a very different path toward food production than that taken by ancient Near Eastern peoples. 7 PM, The Performing Arts Ctr.
